No one can guarantee placement in AI systems u2014 they change how they select sources regularly. What I can do is remove the structural reasons your site gets skipped. Proper schema, clear entity signals, and an llms.txt file are table stakes to even be considered.
llms.txt is a file placed at your domain root that tells AI crawlers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity) what your site is about, which pages are most relevant, and how you'd like your content used. It's not mandatory but signals to AI systems that your site is structured and intentional about its content.
Partially. Yoast and Rank Math add basic site schema automatically, but FAQ schema, Service schema, and LocalBusiness schema typically need to be added manually or via custom JSON-LD u2014 which most installs skip entirely.
There's overlap in content structure and technical signals, but AI search readiness is a layer on top of traditional SEO u2014 not a replacement. I'll identify which fixes address both and which are AI-specific.
I verify schema with Google's Rich Results Test, test your key queries in ChatGPT and Perplexity before and after, and document the changes. You'll see the schema live in Search Console within a few weeks of Google re-crawling.
The initial setup is one-time. As you add new content, services, or locations, those pages need the same structure applied. I'll leave you with a template and checklist to extend it yourself u2014 or you can bring me back for new pages.
